I have been counting since I was 20 but often haven't managed a book a week for a few years. (Work, study, family, days in the surf are distractions.) I recently turned 50 and realised that if I make it to 80 I might only have 1500 books left in me. I thought it would make me more discerning but ravenous greed wins out and I'm just as eclectic as ever. I don't have any qualms about revisiting favourites or brick sized tomes slowing me down. I still haven't figured out how to count poetry. So much starting in the middle, going round in circles - all happily. You've got so much fun in front of you :) best, Paul Hi,

I did not realize the amount of books we can read is limited and lately I have not even counted them, as some I like to re-read them , above all my favs. I believe books are similar to wine, as old as they get the better the mind taste is.
