Okay, so Gaiman wrote this book kind of based on The Jungle Book. I think that accounts for how episodical it is. Some of the chapters are directly analogous or referential of Kipling's book. Makes me want to go back and read the jungle version, though now I've got 'The Bear Necessities' stuck in my head.

You can hear the entire book read by Gaiman here.

Thanks Elena!

I remember reading this and wondering how it compares to 'The Jungle Book'. Haven't read the latter. What are your thoughts? (Happy New Year, btw.)
